The Charleroi Bar brings more than 500 lawyers together.
They are all at your service to defend you, whilst respecting the fundamental values of probity, loyalty and dignity.
General counsels and lawyers specialised in various branches of law have no other priority than providing a quality service.
They are there to advise, assist, negotiate and defend you.
They are your special partners in our society that is governed by various rules and regulations, which each day become more numerous and complex.
The lawyers also practise the reconciliation and the mediation to help you to solve your conflicts.
Lawyers, who are key players in the law, practise a profession that is liberal, independent and strictly regulated by law.

Since 1994, the Belgian constitution stipulates that any individual has the right to have access to the law and to obtain the help of a lawyer.
Previously called "pro deo", legal aid allows people on low incomes to benefit too from the services of a lawyer.
What is more, Charleroi is one of the trail-blazers in the provision of this aid, as some of its lawyers have been working within a pro deo context for more than 30 years.
The Charleroi bar is currently made up of more than 500 lawyers who are ready to advise you, or negotiate and defend your interests.
This website is aimed at any individual, from Charleroi or elsewhere, who:
- wishes to get advice before taking steps that may have legal consequences (marriage, contracts, divorce, building etc.)
- is looking for assistance in finding an amicable solution to a situation of conflict between
him or her and one or more parties, or in conducting negotiations with the latter.
- wishes to be represented and defended after receiving a summons to appear in court.
